Importance of Media Literacy
”Lack of information” is an issue faced by the previous generation of students.
“Information overload” is what students today face.
Our youth’ minds are being shaped by the messages they are bombarded with from the media and not all messages have positive intent and implications.
KCS Media Literacy Programme for P4 Pupils
To address this, Kheng Cheng School’s ICT department and external vendors have planned and conducted the Media Literacy programme for Primary 4 pupils.
On completion of this programme, pupils will be able to:
|
- Devise and construct their own media.
- Compare and analyse different media.
- Describe what the media is about.
- Interpret the messages from the media.
- Examine the messages and its intent from the media.
- Verify and debate the effectiveness of a media.
