Curriculum Alignment (MOE Art Syllabus)

The Art Department is aligned to the MOE Art Syllabus, with a strong emphasis on:

• Visual Inquiry – students learn to observe, question, interpret, and make meaning from visual forms.

• Creative Expression – students generate and develop ideas, experiment with media and techniques, and communicate personal intent through art.

• Critical and Inventive Thinking – students evaluate choices, explore alternatives, and innovate through the art-making process.

• Reflection and Communication – students reflect on their own and others’ artworks, articulating artistic decisions and learning.

• Art Appreciation – students engage with artworks from Singapore and the world, developing cultural awareness and respect for heritage.
