The Student Development Team is committed to building a caring and enabling school environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to grow. Guided by our vision of fostering an inclusive environment where students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially, we champion a whole-school approach to student well-being, ensuring that every student is supported to discover their strengths, build resilience, and flourish in school and beyond.
Key Programmes
bacK to sChool Session
The bacK to sChool Session supports students in making a positive start to each school year and term by:
Supporting a smooth transition into the new school year and school routines.
Building positive relationships with teachers and peers and fostering a strong sense of belonging.
Reinforcing school expectations, values and positive learning behaviours.
Promoting students' well-being and readiness for learning.

Through fun and interactive games, the teacher connects with students, building rapport and creating a warm and supportive classroom environment
Learn-to-Fish programme
The Learn-to-Fish programme equips all students with the knowledge, skills and dispositions to thrive in school and beyond by:
Building age-appropriate life skills, learning skills and social-emotional competencies at each level to support students' growth and development.
Equipping every KCS student with the confidence, independence and resilience to navigate future challenges and lifelong learning.

Care Leaders Programme
The Care Leaders Programme develops students as peer supporters who promote a caring and inclusive school community. Through structured training and meaningful opportunities to serve, Care Leaders learn to listen, support their peers and encourage positive relationships, creating a school where every student feels valued and supported.
